Our Magento upgrade service works in several steps to ensure a smooth transition from your current version of Magento to the latest Magento 2 version. Here's an overview of how the upgrade service typically works:
Our team will start by conducting a detailed consultation with you to understand your current store setup, specific requirements and any customisations or extensions you have implemented. Based on the information gathered during this consultation, we’ll create a comprehensive upgrade plan that’s tailored to your specific needs. This plan will outline the necessary steps, timeline and resources required for a successful upgrade.
Before upgrading your store, we make a backup of your website and database to guarantee that no important data is lost. We’ll also set up a staging environment that mirrors your live store. This allows us to perform the upgrade and test all functionalities without affecting your live website.
Our developers will migrate all of your existing store data to the new Magento 2 platform, including products, orders, customer information and configurations. This ensures a seamless transfer of your important data to your upgraded store. Our team will initiate the upgrade process, which involves installing the latest version of Magento 2, configuring necessary settings and integrating your migrated data. We’ll also update and configure any additional modules required by the new version.
We’ll assess the compatibility of your current extensions and themes with Magento 2. If any of them are incompatible, we’ll find suitable alternatives or develop custom solutions to ensure a smooth integration with Magento 2.
Once the upgrade is complete, we’ll conduct comprehensive testing to ensure that all functionalities of your store are working correctly. This includes testing features, extensions, payment gateways and third-party integrations. Any issues or conflicts identified during testing will be addressed and resolved.
Our commitment doesn’t end with the upgrade. We provide ongoing support to address any issues or concerns you may have after your Magento 2 upgrade. Our team will be available to assist you with troubleshooting, performance optimisation and guidance on how to use the new features and functionalities of Magento 2.
